Accessibility Statement
We sell accessibility audits, so our own website has to be a good example. Here is where we stand.
DraftThis text is a draft and is being reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
This statement applies to t-matrix.net. Our products HyperSale and Stellwerk will get their own statements.
Our goal
We build t-matrix.net to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. The European Accessibility Act and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) usually do not cover business-to-business services like ours. We follow them voluntarily.
Status
The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: most content meets the standard, the limitations below do not yet.
- Method: self-assessment by our team during development.
- Last check: [to be added: date and tools]
- Test with screen readers and with people who use assistive technology: [planned before launch]
What works today
- Reduced motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, the opening animation, smooth scrolling and the moving dot animations are switched off and all text is shown at once.
- Real text. Headings and texts in animations are real page text, readable by screen readers, search engines and translation tools. The animated dot background is decorative and hidden from assistive technology.
- Keyboard. Menus, links, buttons and the project brief work with the keyboard. The "Hold to see where we deliver" button also works by holding the space or Enter key. Focus is clearly visible.
- No flashing. Nothing flashes more than three times per second.
- Forms. Every field in the project brief has a label; errors are described in text and announced.
- Contrast. Text colours are chosen for strong contrast on the dark background.
- No sound. Nothing on the website plays sound by itself.
Known limitations
- The scrolling line of services and some background animations run longer than five seconds and have no pause button yet (WCAG 2.2.2). Workaround: switch on reduced motion in your system settings. [fix planned]
- There is no "skip to content" link yet (WCAG 2.4.1). [fix planned]
- The animated diagram of our Stellwerk product is small on phones and its steps are revealed by scrolling. All steps are also written out as text next to it.
- The website is available in English only for now. German and other EU languages will follow.
